The APC by Schneider Electric Rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU) may be used as a stand-alone, network- manageable power distribution device or up to four devices can be connected together using one network connection. The Rack PDU provides real-time remote monitoring of connected loads.

The HSYCO RACKPDU driver supports the AP88XX and AP78XXB Metered models.

IO Server RACKPDU.jpg

PDU Configuration

In order to be able to control the device with HSYCO SERVER, remote access to the command line interface via SSH must be enabled.

HSYCO Configuration

Add a RACKPDU I/O Server in the I/O Servers section of the Settings and set its parameters:

Communication

  • IP Address: the IP address of the device
  • IP Port: TCP/IP port to use (defaults to 22)
  • User: the SSH user (defaults to "apc")
  • Password: the SSH password (defaults to "apc").

High Availability

  • Shutdown when inactive: defaults to false.

Options

ID Default Values Description
startupevents false true generate IO events also during the driver’s start-up phase
false start generating events only after HSYCO is aligned with the current status of the system

Datapoints

All measured values returned as datapoints use the units as set in the PDU. The unit is not returned in the datapoint value.
